About Us
Wayland Travel and its subsidiary, ATD - Adventure Travel Desk, are sister companies dedicated to fulfilling your travel dreams and smoothing your way around the world.
Wayland Travel was founded in 1966 and has served corporate and individual clients across the country and around the world from our location in Wayland, MA ever since. Our professional staff members have an average of more than 15 years' experience in the travel industry.
The owners' passion for African safari travel led to the creation of the "Adventure Travel Desk" a separate division specializing in travel to southern Africa and beyond to other parts of Africa and nature/wildlife destinations around the world.
Our leisure department can handle any request from a quick weekend getaway to a luxurious cruise or customized independent foreign tour. Many of our agents are area specialists with destination-specific certifications and extensive personal travel experience. Our entire staff travels widely. Between us, we have visited more than 120 countries and sailed with most major cruise lines. In addition, we "Work Magic With Miles" - integrating mileage and "points" with dollars to maximize the value of our clients' frequent flyer miles. We offer an extraordinary level of personal attention including "concierge" services to handle pre-booking your dining and activities at your destination.
n addition to vacation and business travel, we also make travel arrangements for race teams and related personnel on the NASCAR, CART and IRL and for many mission and philanthropic groups (Habitat for Humanity, Back2Back Ministries, Rise International and many others).
